Edmonton Public Schools has an open boundary policy. This means students can choose to attend any school within the city. However, every area of the city has designated schools: those that must accept the students from within their catchments if the school is able to provide programming for the student. King Edward, McKernan, Allendale, and Strathcona are the designated schools for our community. Edmonton Catholic Schools has no schools in Strathcona.
